Our DC-Cup in cooperation with desertcombat.ch approaches the end. Only one game takes place this week.
The Swiss Birds-of-Prey  will face the German Battlestrikers  in the lowerbracket final on the map Basrahs edge. The winner of this round will play against HighFiDelity.Go2Host.DC next week in the consolation final.
Whoever wins will play against the unbeaten DareDevils.Toblerone.dc in the overall final.
If the winners of the last season, Birds-of-Prey will win again, is uncertain since however the competition became considerably harder in this season.

Another week in our Battlefield 1942 Cup, sponsored by shop.iland.ch and revelcell.com, is over now. This fourth and last round of the group games was played on the map Bocage, where good pilots are important.
In the 1st group, occasion.Helix - rEtri.bution could win quite clearly against the Swiss Freakproject thanks to their superiority in the air. Red Raptors didn't line up against Team Mirage  because of their summer break, what brought the boys from Benelux another victory, even in form of a Def-Win.
In the 2nd group there were two games this week. The best Swiss team distace.bf played against the very strong Norwegian team of Incredible Teamaction  , however they lost with a barely result of 105 : 169. Not a bad result for the Swiss BF-Community!
Furthermore, an exciting match between the two Swiss teams Central Swiss Clan and Swiss-Schoggi was played. The Central Swiss Clan could leave the battlefield as winners.
In the 3rd group, there were played two games, too. eQuinoX , where loYd from Red Raptors is playing during the summer break, won their game against the OVERLORDS . Outstanding is the game between MasterBlasters e.V. and soFragged  .
*** Update ***
MasterBlasters e.V. could win after the clans could finally agree on a server. soFragged announced at the same time that they will go inactive from today since they don't perceive any more motivation for BF at the moment. Everything good in the further eSport life wishes gNET.

In the last week in our DC Cup organized with desertcombat.ch would have been supposed to occur 2 games. Unfortunately Serious.gaming toXic dissolved in the last week and could not play against The Battlestrikers .
For that could Birds-of-Prey , the absolutely best Swiss, play and win against the reloadedGaming DC-Squad , with a relative clear result of 213:0. This round was played on the map Basrahs Nights. In the winnerbracket the first team, Dare-Devils.Toblerone.DC who could beat HighFiDelity.Go2Host.DC , is waiting for the winner of the lowerbracket final.
Dare-Devils.Toblerone.DC must be patient at the moment therefore, to the lowerbracket games are gone through.
In the overalls-final the winner of the winnerbracket may choose, in this case Dare-Devils.Toblerone.DC, a map. If this map is won by them, they stand as overall winners. If they lose this map, they have to play the map of the winner of the lowerbracket, too. From the two maps the tickets are summed up to get the winner of our DC Cup sponsored by revelcell.com and shop.iland.ch.

The first two game weeks of our BF Cup have come to an end.
The first week was characterized by Def-Wins, what has improved strongly in the second week. Some clans have decided to have a summer break, what will lower the activity.
Nevertheless, all games were played exemplarily in the second week.
The cup is, similar as our Int.Cup for CS, held with group matches. The 2 best of the respective groups will get further into a Double-Elimination Cup.
For the 4 best Swiss clans there will be LAN finals.
The probably most thrilling game of the second week took place between eQuinoX and soFragged . The game ended with 141 : 147 for soFragged and let them leave the battlefield as winners, although eQuinoX had Swiss support.
During the summer break, the well-known BF player -=RR=-loYd changed from Red-Raptors to eQuinoX, because he thinks the summer break is unnecessary.

In the 4th round of our DC Cup, in cooperation with desertcombat.ch, the most thrilling game took place, the Winnerbracket final. The game between HighFiDelity.Go2Host.DC and Dare-Devils.Toblerone.DC ended with 40 : 42 for the Dare-Devils.Toblerone.DC. Unbelievable 2 tickets decided this game.
The favorite, HighFiDelity.Go2Host.DC, slips down into the Lowerbracket. Whom they will meet there is clearly in about 2 weeks.
In the Lowerbracket, the Crude Bastards met on the very strong reloadedGaming DC-Squad .
There, the Crude Bastards were standing primarily as Americans strongly and had fetched some flags very fast.
However, reloadedGaming DC-Squad won though with a very scarce result of 75 : 0.

In the last match the Battlestrikers have won against [1.Zug] on the Map Lostvillage. They will meet Serious.gaming toXic next week.

A Battlefield Match will be shown live on Norwegian state television today. The developers of the game, Digital Illusion (DICE) want to prove that they are still the best in their own game and have paused the development of Battlefield 2 for this reason.
They play against the winners of the Business Cup in Norway (we reported), Komplett Data, an online shop in Norway.
The whole game will be broadcasted live on the Norwegian channel NRK2 at 21.10h tonight.
For the ones who have no Norwegian TV, the game will be streamed live at nrk.no. You must register to be able to look the match, but it's free. The whole match is commented by DelCasa and AirBoy.

Shortly after we announced that the next gNET.BF Cup would be open to all nationalities, incredible Teamaction signed up. For us that was a good enough reason to find out why this norwegian Clan wanted to join this formerly swiss only league. We talked to it-Groms about norwegian e-sport, older Gamers and summer holidays.

The gNET.BF Cup is finally starting today. In addition to the two most famous swiss clans, Red Raptors and Distace.bf we've been able to gather some great clans for our cup. Amongst them is for example incredible teamaction, the norwegian Clan who won The Gathering 04.
The gNET.BF Cup will be played like our gNET.int.cup for CS 5on5, meaning that there will be Groupmatches first. As there is 13 Teams registred for this cup, one out of the 3 groups will have 5 Teams and the 2 remaining will have 4. The 2 best Teams of them all will advance to a double Elimination Cup, where the winning team will get 8 Revelcell Mousepads. The 2. and 3. Team will each get 8 packages of Glidetape, also from Revelcell.

The first week of our desertcombat cup which is organised in cooperation with desertcombat.ch has now ended. The matches were played on Bocage. The only swiss team which made it to the second round of the winnerbracket were the Birds-of-Prey, who also won our first DC cup.
HighFiDelity.Go2Host.DC, formerely known as DC-Force was the only team to receive a freeround in the first week. If the match against Veterans will take place is still uncertain due to the swedish clans internal problems. It is still not sure the once so successful clan will ever play under the [VETS] flag again.

Today, we started our second Desert Combat cup. We have been able to get some of the best Desert Combat Clans in Europe to join our Cup.
We are working on translating the rules to english, but you will still be able to find the necessary settings, which by the way are same as in ESL, in the german rules section.
The Cup, which is organised in cooperation by gamersNET and desertcombat.ch, is a double elimination cup, meaning that even after you lose your first match, you still have the possibility to reach the finals and even win. The first time you lose a match, you'll find yourself in the lowerbracket, from where on you still have the chance to move into the Overall-finals. To see how the cup works, you can have a look at the gNET.DC.ch cup. In the Overall-finals both clans get to choose a map, which must be announced 48 hours before the final is played.
In the cup all teams have to play one match each week. You have one week to contact your opponents and play the match. The date indicated above the match is the final date the match can be played. If a clan cannot be reached via IRC, MSN, ICQ or PM via gamersNET, the unreachable clan will receive a def-loss. If a clan fails to contact their opponents, please contact an admin (Solar and TanteJutta).

We are glad to announce that we have postponed the final registration date for the BF1942 league. This means that all clans who are still undetermined have another week to decide. The final registration date is now monday, June 7th.
We have also worked on the system the league will be played in, which will be similar to our current system in our international CS-cup. We will have group stages, where everyone plays against everyone and the best ones will be qualified for a double elimination cup. We have adopted this system, because of it's great functionality and success with the gNET.int-cup, but we do apologise to all clans who expected something else.

Justplay.revelcell was able to defeat Fairgame  yesterday. Today another swiss team will have their first match in the gamersNET international cup. HystRia has to play at 8.30 pm against 2dangerous.cyberNetic  .
They will play on de_nuke and as always we'll have HLTV and Livebot. Details under More.

A little while ago, Cabal from esports-world.net started a irc-channel for DC-clans to be able to organise spontaneous Clanwars and trainings with other clans. This great initiative is definetly a nice option for those clans out there who do not have a training partner.
The clans can join and idle #dc-war @ qnet
